April 20th, 2020 - Quarantine Questions, Surveys, Meal Assistance, and Check-In Challenge

We hope everyone enjoyed a great weekend.

QUARANTINE QUESTIONS
Consider these questions to ground yourself each day in positivity.

PARENT/STUDENT AT-HOME LEARNING SURVEY
The Teaching & Learning At-Home Learning team is requesting feedback from parents and students on how to improve support services provided via the website. The District is requesting parents and students to provide us with input and suggestions on the At-Home Learning Website.

UPDATES
Teachers gradebooks will lock for the 5th six weeks this weekend. Our goal is to have all grades verified and report cards available for request by April 24th. Grades will be accessible in PowerSchool but we will make paper copies available upon request through our website. More details to come.
We are working on sharing directions for families to review student course selections for the 2020-2021 school year. Later today, we plan to share clear steps for requesting changes based on allowable criteria. As we build the master schedule, having accurate selections is critical so that we have limited changes to student schedules and teaching assignments.

MEAL ASSISTANCE
Just a reminded. Dallas ISD meal distribution will continue only on Thursdays in the horseshoe from 10:00 to 1:00. There will no longer be Monday distribution, but Lakepointe White Rock is a great partner and committed to helping our families. They will provide food to families at their church on Mondays from 9:00 to 11:00 AM and from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.

If you would like to contribute, they collect food each Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. They are in need of the following items:
Peanut Butter, Jelly, Crackers, Mac and Cheese, Canned Veggies, Pasta, Canned Fruit, Snack Bars, and Dried Beans
