March 25th, 2020 - Important Attendance Information

Important Attendance Information

I hope that by now students have been able to enroll in Google Classrooms and sign up for class Remind messages.

Here is the document with the codes, again:

***There is one more class students need to join.***

In order for us to submit daily attendance, students need to enroll in the appropriate class listed below:
  • Daily Attendance Check In - Class of 2020 (The code is xsz7q7v)
  • Daily Attendance Check In - Class of 2021 (The code is aradlk5)
  • Daily Attendance Check In - Class of 2022 (The code is oon2oi2)
  • Daily Attendance Check In - Class of 2023 (The code is hzk2gfs)
There is one recurring daily assignment in this class, a Google Form that asks students what classes they plan to work on that day.
Students need to submit this form before 10:30 AM each day.

This should be the first thing they do when they log in each day.
It would be good to set a reminder on their phones.

Students may work on the classes most appropriate for that day based on their needs, which may or may not be aligned with with the Woodrow A/B/C day calendar. They will be counted present as long as they are logged in and submit the form prior to 10:30 AM.

If the student has not completed the form prior to 10:30 AM, the expectation is that the Advisory teacher (6th period) attempts to contact the student to remind them to log in and submit the form as well as document any supports the student and family may need as we navigate this process.

By Friday, teachers will also contact students/families of their 6th period class to make sure we are responsive to any needs you all may have at this point. This may range from technology concerns to a counseling request or questions about food availability. We are updating links to resources on the left hand side of this page. If you, or you know of a family in need, please email our community liaison, Ms. Elizabeth Jurado (elcorral@dallasisd.org). Please know, we are here to help in any way that we can.

Thank you all for being so patient and understanding as we work through this transition.
