The graduating Class of 1966 at DISD’s Woodrow Wilson High School bestowed six College Scholarship Awards aggregating $40,000 to graduating Seniors in the Class of 2020  on Monday, May 18, 2020. The Class of 1966 created its Land-Hyland Scholarship Fund to honor two of their classmates who passed away untimely; Don Land and Paul Hyland, both of whom played on the Fall 1965 South Zone Championship Football Team, ranked 10th in state football polls. The first Scholarship Award was granted in 1995 and over its 26-year history, Scholarships aggregating over $281,000 have been granted to 60 Woodrow graduates.
