FOOD DISTRIBUTION TIME CHANGE
As the summer heat is approaching, the food distribution times will change from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. starting the week of June 8th.
Woodrow Families: We have created this blog to post announcements related to Woodrow Wilson High School. While we will continue to use School Messenger's call out and email features, this site will allow us to host helpful links and routine updates. You can also use the button above to subscribe so that posts are emailed to you if that is easier. Yesterday it was announced that in order "t o slow the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the community, all Dallas ISD schools will close indefinitely. This action follows advice from the Dallas County Health and Human Services department (DCHHS)." Read more here . Summer College Advising from ASP Please see the note below from our Academic Service Provider (ASP) regarding summer support: While this summer looks a little bit different than years previous, we are still offering summer college advising for students who want to participate. We have set up a Remind account to push out information for families that want to stay informed and ASP is starting to pilot some college access initiatives in Google classroom with students participating in our summer activities. ASP Summer Intern Programming We have six interns from the University of Chicago this summer. Three of them are our own alumni and the other three are from the DFW area. One is an international student who attended high school in the United States and has a lot to share about what that process was like, especially when she found out that a lot of colleges wouldn't consider her for financial aid after she had applied.
